Celebrating the new year will also be a birthday celebration in years to come for the new owners of Blenheim dry cleaners, Dave and Lisa Poole.
Since taking over the business at the end of last year, they have "picked up the ball and run with it", in their latest business venture.
No stranger to the laundry business, dave comes with over twenty years in the industry, first as District Manager for NZTS in Palmerston North and more recently with Marlborough laundry for the past ten years.
The new owners say it is business as usual. "we have been very fortunate in retaining the previous owner, Cristine Hedges, who has thirty years of experience within the dry cleaning business," Dave says "Dry cleaning can be quite a precise science and having that amount of experience is invaluable". Also on the staff of four is Aline Broughton, another 30 year veteran of the business, and stephanie Island who has been heading up customer service for the past three years.
Dave Says the level of experience, the latest state of the art in dry cleaning equipment, and central location, combined with free pick up and delivery in the greater Blenheim area, agents all over the region from Kaikoura through to Picton all help to take the hassle out of what can be a mundane chore.
Complemented by a laundry service, two professional tailors for alterations and a two hour turn around for urgent cleaning, Blenheim Dry Cleaning are also specialists in treating high fashion garments, silk garments and wedding gowns.
